Guest Information: Temporary Closure
In response to the current situation developing regarding Covid-19 and the most recent advice from the UK Government and Public Health England we confirm with sadness that Twinlakes and Wheelgate Park are now temporarily closed, until further notice.
At this point in time we feel this is the only and correct course of action to take.
We know this will be disappointing news, particularly to those who have planned a visit soon with us, but as a family run business the health and well-being of our team members and guests is, and always has been, our top priority and we hope you understand and support our decision to close.
We were very much looking forward to welcoming you all to the parks and are saddened to be unable to do so, but we know that this is the right thing to do in the interest of public health. We want to thank our amazing team for their support during this uncertain time.
We are supporting our dedicated teams on whom our closure will inevitably have an impact. We are expecting a very high number of enquiries in the days ahead and will help as many people as we can, communications may be delayed, but please bear with us while we try and reply to everyone. Twinlakes / Wheelgate Park 2020 Coronavirus Ticket FAQ’s
Day Tickets:
- Day Tickets booked for 21st March 2020 and beyond have the following options available:
- Extended expiry date for a future visit during 2020.
- You do not need to get in touch with us about this, your tickets will not be redeemed until you visit.
- Please enter the theme park via Reception (Twinlakes Park) or the main entry gate (Wheelgate Park) so we can redeem your tickets quickly and efficiently.
- If your new future visit falls on a higher priced day, we will waive this fee for you. E.g. you have Blue Day Tickets (super off-peak tickets) we will upgrade them free of charge should you wish to visit on a Green Day (high-peak tickets).
- You can use the overall booking cost of your day tickets for future purchases with us. E.g you have purchased £40 worth of days tickets, you can use this towards gift vouchers, annual passes, seasonal grottos (Easter/Christmas). Please get in touch with this option by email, no need to rush, your account details will be kept safe with us
- For tickets that where booked for earlier in 2020 (20th March 2020 prior) but you have not visited yet and postponed your booking (due to family circumstances, change of date etc.) this applies to you also.
Annual Passes:
- Annual Passes (even ones not collected yet) will be extended for the amount of time we are closed.
- This will be done automatically; we will not reissue you with new cards. Our ticket provider will be extending annual passes automatically once the theme park re-opening dates are confirmed. Our till systems will confirm the expiry date to us. We will also publish how many days we are extending annual passes by to confirm with you.
Peak FM / Hallam FM / Pulse FM / Free Radio Vouchers:
- All third party vouchers have all been extended to cover the end of year.
- You will still need your printed voucher, with the barcode / voucher code clearly visible for us to redeem.
Stay, Play and Explore:
- We will honour vouchers that were due to expire from 21st March 2020 until the end of 2020.
- You will still need your printed voucher, with the barcode / voucher code clearly visible for us to redeem.
- Please keep an eye out for official correspondence from Stay, Play and Explore also.
- Please note Stay, Play and Explore tickets will not be valid for Firework Day and Christmas Eve at Twinlakes Park due to capacity reasons.
Physical Tickets
- Including Superhero February Half Term Tickets
- All official physical tickets issued by Twinlakes and Wheelgate Family Theme Park have been extended, the expiry is now until to the end of 2020.
- Please note official physical tickets will not be valid for Firework Day and Christmas Eve at Twinlakes Park due to capacity reasons.
- Do not lose these tickets, they cannot be reproduced for you.
Groups Bookings:
- We can hold your booking for a future visit
- You can use the overall booking cost of your group visit for future purchases with us. E.g you have paid a deposit for £200, you can use this towards gift vouchers, annual passes, group bookings, seasonal grottos (Easter/Christmas). Please get in touch with this option by email, no need to rush, your account details will be kept safe with us
Easter Grotto Bookings (applicable to Twinlakes Park only):
- We are hoping to open the Easter Bunny Grotto this year, even if it’s for a week later in the year, we have our incredibly cute TY limited edition stock for choice of gift.
- We can hold your ticket until we reopen
- You can use the overall booking cost of your Easter Grotto tickets for future purchases with us. E.g you have purchased £24 worth of Easter Grotto tickets, you can use this towards gift vouchers, annual passes, seasonal grottos (Easter/Christmas). Please get in touch with this option by email, no need to rush, your account details will be kept safe with us
