Latest News at Wheelgate Park

Following yesterdays surprise discovery of baby ‘Al’ the runaway piglet in the Alpaca Pen the Staff of Wheelgate Family Theme Park, Mansfield have been kept very busy.

Farm staff were very shocked yesterday to find the 1 week old piglet in their alpaca pen especially seeing as though Wheelgate Park does not have any pigs apart from Dave the Male Kune Kune Pig.  Over the past 24 hours staff have been contacting all local farms and park to try locate were Al has come from and get him home to his mother, but so far no joy.

As poor little Al is so young he has required a lot of TLC, which is usually provided by the mother.  Wheelgate Catering Manager Jay Bloomfield took on a surrogacy role last night and took little Al home to keep him warm and provide his bottle-feeds at various intervals throughout the night.  It’s been a long night but little Al seems to be merrily bouncing around this morning.   

Charlotte the park vet will be paying little Al a visit at lunch today to give him a routine check up.

So 24 hours on and the search for Al’s Mum continues…  We wonder what news is in store for today.
