Degus
Agoutis (Browns) – £15.00each £25.00pair
Blues – £25.00each £45.00pair
We have lots of Degus ready for new homes! Some are babies and we also have some proven breeders available.
Degus are diabetic animals so it is VERY important to give them the correct diet! This consists of a specially formulated dry food mix that you can buy from any good pet shop, along with plenty of roughage which consists of hays, grasses etc.
Degus are very social animals and we will NOT sell any individually unless you are taking one to intorduce to another or intergrate into an already exisiting group. They also create strong bonds with their owners aslong as you spend time with them and get them used to you.
We have agouti degus available as well as the rarer colour mutation ‘Blues’.
***WE CURRENTLY HAVE A SPECIAL OFFER ON OUR DEGUS – £5.00 EACH OR 2 FOR £8.00!!!! Grab one of these fantastic little animals at our special offer price whilst you can!!***
Ferrets
Ferrets

£30.00 each or £5
5.00 pair
We have a few ferrets waiting to go to their new loving home.
These are babies and were born on 27th November 2011. We only have males left!!
All of these babies are normal polecat coloured.
These are very playful animals and love alot of stimulation. They will chase treat balls around trying to knock the tasty treats out. Ferrets are also very good climbers, so giving them lots of ropes and hammocks in their cage is essential for them!
Ferrets are carnivorous meaning they eat meat. You can buy many commercial ferret foods from most pet stores, these come in the form of a biscuit/kibble, similar to that of cat food. Some ferrets will also eat raw meats such as chicks, defrosted mice etc, which you can buy from any reptile/exotic pet store!
REMEMBER Ferrets can bite so you must take this into account when you are looking into buying one. Ferrets need a large chinchilla/parrot cage, or a large 2 storey hutch designed for rabbits/guinea pigs.
Abysinnian Guinea Pigs (Rosettes)
We have a wide variety of different abysinnian guinea pigs here at Wheelgate Park.
We have all sorts of colours, ages and both males and females available.
They are £20.00 each or £35.00 pair
All guinea pigs need a large hutch, whether this is indoor or outdoor, they need fresh shavings and fresh straw for bedding, aswel as hay for them to eat. Guinea pigs also prefer to have company of their own kind as opposed to being on their own, so we always reccomend that you have more than one guinea pig. However we do not reccomend that you keep a guinea pig and rabbit together as they require completly different diets and requirements.
You will get a small amount of free food when you take your new guinea pig home, if you wish to change to a different brand then make sure you do this over a week period otherwise your guinea pig will get an upset stomach and it can make him or her poorly.
Long Haired Guinea Pig
This beautiful little guinea pig has such character! She loves to have a cuddle and loves to have a groom every day to keep her unusual coat in perfect condition.
She is £20.00 and is waiting for someone to take her home! She is 1 1/2 years old.

Fancy Mice
FANCY MICE
We have a variety of fancy mice available for sale at £5.00 each or £9.00 for a pair.
At Wheelgate Park we will only sell mice in pairs unless you already have mice at home.
All animals come with a small amount of feed that they are given here at the park, if you wish to change their diet please do this over a period of a week to stop them getting upset tummies!

We have all sorts of mice, in different colours and patterns! If you are looking for anything particular then contact one of our Farm Rangers and they will be more than happy to help you out!
Keeping mice as pets
Mice are very easy to keep and are a common first pet for many people. They are very social little animals and love to come out and be played with. Some mice are very intelligent and you can even train them to do mini assult courses!!
Mice should never be kept on their own as they are very social amongst their own kind and love to have company! They need to be kept in a suitable cage, if you are using a cage with bars then make sure the bars a very close together, normal hamster cage bars are usually quite far apart and mice can squeeze through. For two mice a suitable cage size would be 2ft by at least 1 1/2ft wide, with lots of platforms and toys inside for them to play on.
DIET
Mice can be given any form of specially formulated small animal feed, however there is nothing better than making your own up! To do this all you need are a few different ingredients – wild bird seed, rolled barley, whole oats, pidgeon mix, parrot mix, maize, flaked peas and a small amount of general small animal mix, mix this all up and there you have it! Your own feed for your mice!
LIFESPAN
Mice usually live to around 2 years of age, unfortunately this isnt a long time, however in their two years of life they will give you so much fun and excitement!
If you have any more questions about keeping mice then just come and see us, or call us!
